The failure in soft shackles is right where the line goes into the diamond knot. I suggest just passing the tail back through the incoming line thus increasing the strength locally. I created some by taking a diamond knot and passing the ends back down so they could be fed into the center of the line entering the knot. It does however fit and work great with a soft shackle, so I'm not completely out of luck. I did search for measurments before purchasing, but could not find any, even on Factor 55's website.
